create a connection....

i have been a little slack
in this area
of following create a connection prompts
but i thought
that today
i would jump back onboard.

Jana was the host this time and it was all about your favorites....

List your favorite(s):

Flower to look at: lilacs

Feature of your favorite animal: i hesitate to admit this but (shielding

self from animal lovers) i uh, don't really like animals. any animals.
not overly. monkeys are ok. but the rest? no thanks. please
don't hate me.

Item in your kitchen: the big window

Item of comfy clothing: (or outfit, if you feel the need!)
jackies jeans
(explanation: my sister in law gave me a pair of jeans that fit me
just right, and have just the right amount of stretch to make them
comfortable and still cool)

Thing to recieve through the mail:
letters, letters, letters
(oh and magazines, and fabric...oh and cheques! and surprises)

Color on your favorite animal: heh. again. um. brown maybe?

Food to cook: (be forwarned, we may be asking you for the recipe if it sounds good! lol)
chicken stew

Ringtone style: hard rock or something from sesame street...like the two headed
monster...or super grover....

Wild animal (or fantasy creature, if you're so inclined): um. heh. monkey?

Outfit to dress a little girl in: docs, leggings with skulls, tartan skirt, black
shirt with mesh sleeves and bandana (luckily my daughter is ok with this)

Thing to do with snow: wish and pray and wait for it to melt!

Weather: after christmas, i hate winter...i like anything more than
post-christmas-winter.

this was fun
and i enjoyed doing it...
i don't know why i don't try these
more often
:)
thanks jana!

ok...so i threw it at the wall.

ok.
so i stopped going to crochet class

kind of because

the woman scared me a little

and kind of because it felt

futile...

so i tried to figure it out

on my own

from what i had learned

and books on hand

and yeah,

i did throw it at the wall

once.

but then it worked.

its a little whatever in places,

a little loose cannon and wacky

but hey.

whatever.

i have been
working on cards
either for our own use
or to try to sell
at a booth this summer
that i was thinking about...

and that's what i have been doing.

you?

a new addition....

please welcome
a new addition to our family...
her name is
esther...
and she seems happy to be here,
the kids have welcomed her quite warmly.

however,
it is cold here
and i think she may need a hat.

where were my knitting needles again?

fresh as a monday morning.

it is monday
and sunny
and not so cold...

i am starting fresh
and new...
i am not letting this work related
dilemma suck me down any longer,
there are aspects of it that i have
no control over
and i am just going to have to
accept that
and keep going.

things i am currently loving:
falling in love all over again with this cd
reading this book
jolly ranchers
orange floats
my son seven's new re-enacting of what his
idea of what a movie kiss is...by smooshing his
head againt mine and moving his head back
and forth
eleven's cute-as-a-button haircut...
and how happy she was that she could donate her cut hair...

its monday.
and there are so many things
to be excited about.
i feel spring coming, i think.
