38.

today

i am 38 years old.

today.

and you know what?
i'm ok with turning with 38.
i'm happy.
i'm healthy.
my kids are great, my husband is fantastic.

i am taking up new things {like photography}
and practicing older things still {like knitting}
i want to go back to school {realistically? for bookkeeping}
{in my imagination? to be a psychologist}

i am running, which is new to me,
and loving it...
and watching what i eat, also new to me,
but getting easier.

there is so much to be happy about.
and turning 38
today
is just icing on the cake.

friday-i'm-in-love...

with sharing blog love...
i keep finding new blogs to add...
to peruse and study,
to make notes and be inspired...
so i thought for a change today
i would share a few:

this blog has sweetness in the form of
cupcakes
that is out of this world...
every time i visit, i want to break out the
mixing bowl....

i stumbled upon this one yesterday
and fell in love with the tutorials,
the cuteness, the craftiness...

this one totally gets my geek-side excited...
so many ideas....where to start!!

and this one i have been reading for a while now
but am not sure if i mentioned it here before...
she is so talented in many ways and i love
the images she posts, as well as the lists
and links...

so...some friday love...shared...
enjoy!

5 really good things on a wednesday...

-fresh string beans in my fridge and the promise
of a corn boil at my mom's this weekend to look
forward to.

-back to school items all bought and labeled,
ready and waiting...excited kids...can't wait
to get back to normal routine...{and nine
o'clock bedtimes, heehee}

-the offer from a friend who is starting a
new business involving becoming a personal
trainer to take me on as a "guinea-pig-client"
and whip me into shape...this could be fun...
could be...i hope this is fun...

-a job offer that was declined
but made me happy to know that they
thought of me

-buying this book in anticipation of reading
to 8 every night {and 13, if she feels like
letting her mom read to her, even just for
a little bit each night}
