the weekend is over...

I have gone from feeling kind of caught up to feeling like a complete and utter failure and back to feeling-kind-of-caught-up but still a little overwhelmed.   

I am reminded every day of how lucky I am to have such great clients...and that sometimes things are not going to go perfect and that not everyone is going to love you...but the truth is...that's OK too.  It has to be.  Because if you can't accept that, you are going to drive yourself crazy with guilt and beating yourself up.

Ok.  Pep talk to myself complete.  ☺

with the new cookies from tim hortons...filled in the middle with flavor...i had the lemon shortbread stuffed with raspberry...3 of them actually.

so much in this that i loved and plan to try!  makes me want to grab my notebook and a pen!

i know winter is coming but i am still in summer/fall mode...or denial maybe...but i can just picture this in my yard.

my note 4!

one year ago today, you came into my life
to great fanfare and expectation...
remember?
you were late
and i started to think you were never going to come?
and then there was the whole mix up
where i rushed to the post office
thinking i was going to miss your arrival
but i made it just in the nick of time
only to find out
it wasn't you that came...
it was a package from indigo
(sorry indigo, usually i also REALLY LOVE packages from you).

i have to say
there is not one day that i regret my choice of phones...

so many things that i love about it:

• the biggest reason that i love it & why i wouldn't upgrade to a Note 5?
  the EXTERNAL STORAGE....i love love love love love this feature...and honestly Samsung,
  i'm not sure what you were thinking when you took that away.  :(
• the 16 mp camera which lets me fulfill my photo-urges when my big camera is out of reach.  it's what i used when i shot this guy

• the size of the phone...which is a drawback to some people
  but not to me!  I love it...i don't actually talk on my phone (ironically enough)
  but i do text, email, watch movies, videos and tv.  i tweet, pin, instagram, blog, tag and post. 
  it's the perfect size for me.
• that i can change the font.  i LOVE that i can change the font. LOVE.

hello, november!

back when i first started blogging,
i used to participate in
nablopomo
which is short for
national blog posting month
which is the cousin of
nanowrimo
which is short for
national novel writing month
(see the pattern here?)
:)

but since
stirling's accident and
working fulltime
plus a supposed-to-be-part-time
but feels like full time photography job
and two kids,
a pug and 2 kittens
my time here has been chipped away.

today
i just feel like...
maybe i can do this again.
maybe this will be the year that I can get back here...
maybe it's the right time.
we are talking about starting a writing group...
i'm trying to find more balance...
maybe this is a good time to try again.

so here is to
looking forward to a month of

and books i want to read
and movies i will see (when editing is done)
blogs i adore and winter bucket lists...
photos and words
and weddings and whispers...
doodles and scribbles,
lies and secrets.

i'm kinda excited.
