was she fleeing from the church
just as the bells tolled nine?
was she running for her life?
(was she running out of time)

had she forgot she left the oven on,
did she forget to lock the door...
was she looking for her other shoe
(or did she suddenly realize she was looking for more)

the crows know the reason...
but they will never say.
